LENOIR, NC (August 31, 2018) — Sharon Childers, Clinical Nurse II with Caldwell UNC Health Care is the recipient of our quarterly Daisy Award given for outstanding patient care.
The DAISY Award was established in November 1999, by the family of J. Patrick Barnes, who lost his courageous eight-week battle with an auto-immune disease, after twice having survived Hodgkin’s Disease. Patrick’s family wanted to honor him along with the nurses who provided “the best of care” during his stay.
Caldwell UNC Healthcare recognizes a nurse quarterly who was nominated and selected who signifies excellence in nursing by providing compassionate, patient centered care, like Sharon Childers.
