N.C. Mountain State Fair advance tickets now on sale

FLETCHER, NC (August 12, 2019) — Advance tickets for the 2019 N.C. Mountain State Fair are now available at area Ingles stores, the WNC Ag Center and WNC Farmers Market. This year, fair fanatics also will be able to purchase their tickets online.

“Whether you’re at your neighborhood Ingles or online from the comfort of your couch, we want to make it as easy as possible for fairgoers to save on gate and ride tickets to the fair,” said fair manager Matt Buchanan. “You can save $2 on gate admission and about 40 percent on ride tickets when you buy in advance.”

Advance tickets will be available at nearly 90 Ingles stores in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. Fairgoers can purchase tickets at checkout during normal business hours at any of the participating Ingles locations. Tickets also can be purchased at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher and WNC Farmers Market in Asheville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Online tickets are available at www.mountainfair.org.

Those wishing to save on advance tickets have until Thursday, Sept. 5, at 11:59 p.m. After that, tickets will be available online and at the gate. Those purchasing tickets online must print their tickets for redemption at the fair.

Advance tickets are $8 for adults. Children, ages 6-12, and seniors, ages 65 and up, can get advance tickets for $4. Admission to the fair is free for children ages 5 and under. Ride lovers can purchase a sheet of 21 ride tickets for $12 in advance, a savings of $8.

The 2019 N.C. Mountain State Fair runs Sept. 6-15 at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher. This year’s fair will highlight the importance of agriculture to the state’s economy, along with rides, food and plenty of free entertainment.
