Job Seekers: We Want YOU!

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (September 30, 2016)…Goodwill’s Graduate Services Program is hosting an event on Thursday, October 6, which will assist government hiring officers in finding qualified candidates to fill positions which are currently open.

The Goodwill hiring event, which takes place from 1pm until 3pm at the Catawba Valley Community Development Center, will allow job seekers to meet with employment managers from Alexander, Burke, Catawba and Caldwell counties. The Development Center is located at 2664 Hwy 70 in Hickory.

In addition to interviewing with hiring managers from all four county governments, applicants will also be able to meet with representatives from Goodwill, Catawba Valley Community College, and the Western Piedmont Council of Governments, all of who can help with job search, career planning, and other resources.

Anyone wishing to attend is advised to complete an online application prior to October 6, so that your information will be readily available to potential employers during your interview. In lieu of completing the online application, participants should bring printed resumes with them.


Piedmont Talent Recruitment

Goodwill’s mission is to provide employment and training programs that help people find jobs and get back on their feet. Goodwill’s Graduate Services Program is hosting a Piedmont Talent Recruitment Event in partnership with four counties and the Western Piedmont Council of Governments to help Piedmont job seekers find work.

Goodwill is assisting county governments in Alexander, Burke, Catawba and Caldwell in finding talented job candidates to join their teams. To help fill the large number of open positions available, these counties are participating in Goodwill’s Piedmont Talent Recruitment Event on Thursday, October 6 at Catawba Valley Community Corporate Development Center. Job seekers are invited to attend the event and interview on-site that day with hiring managers from all four county governments. Community agencies including Goodwill, Catawba Valley Community College and Western Piedmont Council of Governments will also be onsite to provide help with job search, career planning, and other resources.

NOTE: Job seekers are encouraged to completed an online application for the counties in which they are interested before attending the event so that your information will be on file and available to the hiring managers during your interview. Job seekers who do not complete the online application should bring printed resume copies. Links to county websites are below.
