CALDWELL UNC HEALTH CARE Expands COVID-19 Evaluation and Testing Locations

LENOIR, NC (September 10, 2021) — Caldwell UNC Health Care announced today the reopening of the Respiratory Diagnostic Clinic (RDC) in Granite Falls, NC. Beginning at NOON on Monday, September 13, 2021 individuals can visit the drive-thru COVID-19 testing site located at RiverCrest Medical Park, Granite Falls. Patients who have been exposed to the virus or are experiencing new or worsening signs and symptoms of a respiratory illness – cough, fever, shortness of breath – may present for evaluation and testing without a referral at the drive-through RDC.

The RDC at RiverCrest Medical Park is located at 160 River Bend Drive, Granite Falls, NC. Hours of operation are 8am until 4pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. No appointment or referral required. These hours may be subject to change due to inclement weather conditions.

Caldwell UNC Health Care will continue to offer testing, evaluation and treatment for non-emergencies at five PLUS Urgent Care locations – Anderson PLUS Urgent Care, Blowing Rock PLUS Urgent Care, The Falls Pediatric PLUS Urgent Care, Robbins PLUS Urgent Care, and RiverCrest PLUS Urgent Care. In addition, Caldwell UNC Health Care recently opened a COVID-19 Travel Testing site at Hancock Surgery Center, 1031 Morganton Boulevard, SW, Lenoir, NC. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30am until 3:00pm. No appointment necessary. This site was created to accommodate individuals who need a recent test to travel. Test results will be available within 24 hours. The travel testing site is available only to individuals 1) without known exposure to COVID-19; and, 2) without respiratory or other COVID-19 symptoms – within the past 10 days.
