3rd Annual Barnes Reunion

LENOIR, NC (May 1, 2018)…The descendant of Irishman Brinsley (1713-1794) and Englishman Solomon (circa 1742-1807) will celebrate their 3rd Annual Barnes Reunion on Saturday, May 19, 2018.   Both men died in Wilkes County, NC.  The two families account for ten Revolutionary War Patriots and that Brinsley’s family originally settled in Old Orange County, NC.  As active participants in the War of Regulation, they had to flee to Wilkes. A major branch migrated to Tennessee in the early 1800’s.  The event is sponsored by the Barnes-Oxford Genealogy Research Foundation which maintains both a Facebook and a website at https://CompetitiveStrategies.us  or you can email Barnes.Oxford.Genealogy@gmail.com.    A catered BBQ, details on placing orders are available online only.  Last year family came from as far away as Kansas.   One will be coming from Australia to this year’s event.
