HICKORY, NC (August 24, 2017)…Nonprofits, churches and schools are constantly battling a growing demand for services with shrinking funds. Foundation grant writing offers a potential solution.
Funding for Good is bringing its one-day Grant Writing & Research Workshop to Hickory on September 19th to help clear up the confusion and offer insight on this complex fundraising path.
“Grant funding is highly competitive,” says Amanda Pearce, Owner, Funding for Good. “There is an art to how successful grants are written and the most successful organizations understand that.”
This 8-hour workshop will cover the basic do’s and don’ts of grant writing, the seven elements of almost every proposal and how to customize proposals for better success. Participants will also learn the process for successful grant research and how to better develop and manage donor relationships.
Pearce says “When you know the pitfalls to avoid, you will save time and cut down on frustration as you work to locate donors whose priorities match your needs.”
Real stories from the nonprofit world will serve as case studies for the group and participants will also be able to review successfully funded proposals.
If you are new to grant writing or have written grants before without receiving funding check out the workshop September 19th from 8am-4pm at the United Arts Council of Catawba County, Keiser Community Room, West Wing, SALT Block, 231 Third Avenue NE, Hickory, NC 28601.
