Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge to host its 5th annual Power of the Purse Luncheon on Friday, June 28th

BOONE, NC (June 7, 2018)…The Women’s Fund of the Blue Ridge (WFBR) will host its fifth annual fundraising event, the Power of the Purse Luncheon, at Chetola Mountain Resort on Thursday, June 28th.

The event will feature speaker Jeanne Jordan will speak about her experiences and the strength of collective giving.

This year’s program will include a silent auction featuring original art, gift baskets, dining certificates, and golf packages donated by numerous individuals and businesses.

In 2017 the Power of the Purse raised $130,000.  The money raised is used to create positive change and economic justice for women and their families in the high country.
