Western Piedmont Symphony’s “Fall Pops: Symphony Under The Sails” returns to downtown Hickory

HICKORY, NC (September 5, 2018) — The Western Piedmont Symphony will perform “Fall Pops: Symphony Under the Sails” on Sunday, Sept. 23.

The free concert will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Union Square in downtown Hickory.

The program includes classical favorites and popular arrangements from John Williams, Dave Brubeck, Beethoven, Bernstein and more! Pack your lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy this show with family, friends, and neighbors.

In case of inclement weather, the concert will be held at Drendel Auditorium at the SALT Block, 243 3rd Ave NE, Hickory.

The concert is made possible through the support of City of Hickory, The Hickory Metro Convention and Visitor’s Bureau and HSM Solutions.

The Western Piedmont Symphony, which is about to begin its 54th season, will perform under the direction of Maestro John Gordon Ross. The orchestra draws talented and dedicated musicians from across North Carolina. These musicians have repeatedly won national acclaim, including two first place prizes in the American Prize national contest for the Professional Orchestra Division.
