Volunteers needed to help neighbors during times of emergency

HICKORY, NC (September 6, 2017)…The American Red Cross Blue Ridge Piedmont chapter, which serves 12 counties including Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba, has volunteer positions open on its Disaster Action Team helping neighbors during times of emergency. Volunteers are on call to respond to community members affected by house fires by providing comfort, hope and resources when needed the most. This is a critical role and a meaningful way to serve the community.

American Red Cross Volunteer Position Openings in Alexander, Burke, Caldwell and Catawba Counties…

This position requires volunteers to have personal transportation and access to a computer. Red Cross provides classroom and online training and will be hosting introductory training in Hickory at The American Red Cross Office, 1375 Lenoir Rhyne Blvd., SE #119 on Thursday September 14 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm or 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
