Vehicle left abandoned in stream at Granada Hills Drive and Falls Avenue in Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS, NC (August 22, 2017)…Grace Chapel Fire Department and the N.C. Highway Patrol responded to a report of an accident on Tuesday, August 22 at approximately 7:20pm and found a vehicle in the small stream that was abandoned.  The vehicle was a silver Dodge Caliber and it appeared to have rolled over once before coming to rest in the stream after leaving the road surface.  There was no license plate affixed to the vehicle and it appears that the driver removed it.  There were reports that this vehicle was seen on Granada Hills Drive earlier the day.  Anyone who has information about this vehicle is asked to call the N.C. Highway Patrol and ask for Trooper M. Pennington at 828-726-2500.
