Al’s Gameroom Robbery Update
GRANITE FALLS, NC (May 5, 2019) — The Granite Falls Police Department has obtained screen shots of the best video that is available from the robbery at Al’s Gameroom. Anyone with information on the identity of the two individuals should contact Sgt. Rick Lail at (828) 396-3358 or lail@granitefallspolicenc.com.
The first individual in the screen shot with multiple people is the person we are trying to identify.
GRANITE FALLS, NC (May 3, 2019) — On Thursday, May 2, 2019 at approximately 9:32 pm, the Granite Falls Police Department received a panic alarm at Al’s Gameroom located at 4075 Hickory Boulevard in Granite Falls. While Officers were responding to the business, the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from the clerk stating that she had been robbed.
The clerk, Dolly Rodriquez, let two black males into the business and as she was walking away from the door, they followed her. The clerk wears a firearm on her waist while working. One of the males grabbed her gun and a struggle ensued. During the struggle for the gun, Dolly was pushed to the floor and the suspect was able to get her gun. The other black male produced another gun and they ordered her to give them the money.
The two males left the business in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money. The clerk was checked by EMS on scene and she was not transported to the hospital. The incident is still under investigation.
