Stuffed Animals to Get New Homes

HICKORY, NC (December 5, 2016)…The Hickory PetSmart hosted a stuffed animal drive during their “Chance and Lucky” program and as a result, over 400 stuffed animals have been donated to the Hickory Fire Department. These adorable stuffed animals will be distributed during the Catawba County Christmas Bureau in December.

Fire educator Alma Solis, PetSmart Manager Tim Killian, and firefighter Jonathan Willis.

Hickory Fire Chief Fred Hollar expressed his appreciation and thanked PetSmart and the community for making this program possible. “I know these animals will bring smiles to children and want to thank PetSmart for working to make this possible.”

PetSmart Manager Tim Killian, stated “Thanks to the generosity of all our pet parents, our store has donated over 800 toys to local charities this Christmas season and are thrilled to support the fire department and the Christmas Bureau.”
