LENOIR, NC (July 4, 2018)…Every summer high school students come to Caldwell UNC Health Care in order to gain valuable experience in volunteering in a hospital setting. This year, the hospital has 35 Jr. Volunteers working in 14 different locations. The eight-week program is a great opportunity for students to gain an exposure to the health care profession as well as community service. Caldwell is fortunate to have Jr. Volunteers who have been serving for several consecutive years and who plan to pursue a career in health care according to Alice Whisnant, Director of Volunteer Services. For more information about the program, please call 828-757-5123.
