South Caldwell Optimist unveils new scoreboard

DUDLEY SHOALS, NC (September 26, 2017)…After a lot of hard work and planning South Caldwell Optimist unveiled a new scoreboard this past Saturday morning.  Caldwell County along with Vesco ToyotaLift, NuTex Concepts, Nationwide Insurance – Mike Mathewson Agency, E-Z Way Auto Sales, WNC Real Estate and Honda of North Carolina Power Sports all made generous donations to fund the purchase of the new scoreboard.  Shawn Mingus of Granite Falls headed up the research and purchase of the new scoreboard.  Eddie Bolick of Granite Falls graciously offered his assistance in the installation with the use of his bucket truck.

Caldwell County Commissioners Donnie Potter and Mike LaBrose were also on hand for the unveiling.

Other improvements are in the works that include repairs to the access road to the park.

South Caldwell Optimist is located off Charlie Little Road in Dudley Shoals behind Gateway School.
