South Caldwell FBLA ranks in the top at regional competition

LENOIR, NC (December 3, 2018) — The South Caldwell High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) competed in the Northwest Regional Competition last weekend at East Surry High School and ranked among the top finishers.

Congratulations to the following students:

Mikey Esquivel – 3rd place Business Communications

Corey Kincaid – 3rd place Business Calculations

Abby Fleri – 2nd place Business Calculations

Sawyer Rideout – 1st place Business Calculations

Jesica Esquivel & Abby Fleri – 2nd place Cheer/Chant/Slogan

Katie Winebarger & Landrie Wright – 1st place T-shirt

Mikey Esquivel, Corey Kincaid, Abby Fleri, Sawyer Rideout, Katie Winebarer and Landrie Wright advance to the North Carolina FBLA statewide competition in the spring.

The South Caldwell High School FBLA club also won first place in the Northwest Region Sock Drive collecting 98 pairs of socks. This earns the club reserved seating at the state conference.

Gina Kincaid, South Caldwell Business and Marketing educator with certification in Personal Financial, is the FBLA adviser. She will prepare qualifiers for the state competition on March 25-27 in Greensboro where, “We hope to qualify again for Nationals this year in San Antonio, Texas! We will have approximately 20 students to compete at the state level.”
