Significant Snowfall for next Saturday?

CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (December 2, 2018) — Some forecasts and forecast models are indicating the possibility for a significant snowfall for Caldwell County on Saturday, December 8, 2018.  After the recent “surprise” Ice Storm that wreaked havoc causing major power outages and damage throughout a large portion of the county, we thought you would like to know that there is the possibility of another major weather event.

The Weather Channel website is already calling for 5 to 8 inches of snow for Saturday and 3 to 5 inches of snow for Saturday night.

Forecast Models from the Tropical Tidbits website are also indicating a significant snowfall as you will see in the graphics below.  Our good friend John at Caldwell Co. Severe Weather Net alerted us to the possibility of a significant snowfall and sent us the graphics.

This is something that you will want to keep an eye on through the upcoming week.  We all know how weather forecasts can change and evolve here in the foothills…Stay Tuned!  We will keep you updated as the week progresses…
