Sheriff’s Office raids problem residence
LENOIR, NC (April 11, 2018)…Sheriff Alan C. Jones has announced on April 11, 2018, Narcotic Agents and Detectives with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for drugs located at 1016 Greer Street in Granite Falls. The search warrant was issued as a result of several undercover purchases of methamphetamine from the residence. Agents also conducted surveillance on the premise and noticed an unusual amount of traffic coming and going.
Agents secured the residence without incident at approximately 11:10 am and conducted a search. As a result, a small amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a sawed off shotgun was located and seized by Agents. Subsequently, Parker Lee Cox, age 46, was arrested and charged with felonious possession of methamphetamine and felonious possession of a weapon of mass destruction. Cox was incarcerated in the Caldwell County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond. He has a first appearance in District Court in Lenoir on April 12, 2018.
