Relay For Life of Catawba Valley Set

HICKORY, NC (May 15, 2019) — The American Cancer Society Relay for Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community. Rallying the passion of 4 million people worldwide, Relay for Life events raise critical funds that help fuel the mission of the American Cancer Society, an organization that touches so many lives-those who are currently battling cancer, those who may face a diagnosis in the future and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether thanks to education, prevention, and early detection.

While our event takes place over two days, teams raise funds all season long to help those in our community touched with Cancer. Our volunteers provide ride to those who need treatment, wigs and make up for women who have gone through chemotherapy and a mastectomy, free hotel rooms to those whose best care is not in their hometown, a 1-800# that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to assist with questions about diagnosis, treatment, insurance and more.
