Location: Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute

2017 Caldwell Relay Theme: Hollywood

What is Relay?
Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Relay is staffed and coordinated by volunteers in more than 5,200 communities and 20 countries. Volunteers give of their time and effort because they believe it’s time to take action against cancer.

Join us at these events to bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on cancer. Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path.

How long is the Event?
Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps. Cancer patients don’t stop because they’re tired, and for one night, neither do we.

What does our team do at the event?
Each team sets up a themed campsite at the event and continues their fundraising efforts by collecting donations for food, goods, games, and activities. This money will count towards their overall team fundraising goal.

Why should we Relay?
1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. One of those people could be you or someone you love. That’s why we Relay. When you join a Relay For Life event, you’re helping the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking research, crucial patient care programs, and education and prevention information. When you Relay, you help save lives.

Come join us for a night of Fun! Walk the red carpet and come dressed up as a movie star! There will be games, Inflatables, Entertainment(Dance groups, Live bands, Local talent, Zumba, and you may even see a dance battle between local mascots!), Food, Silent Auction(Including trips to places all over the U.S. and across seas), and so much more!

Caldwell Relay Fundraising Goal: $62,000
What we have raised so far: $27,000
