Power outage at Collettsville School

COLLETTSVILLE, NC (March 2, 2018)…Collettsville School is without power today due to downed utility poles caused by severe winds in this area, which continues to be under a High Winds Warning until tomorrow at 12 noon.

Parents received notification at 9 am this morning that all students were safe in a warm building and classroom studies would continue; however, under the current conditions, parents could pick up their children early today.

Families who opted to leave their children at school today will pick up their children at the regular release time and bus routes will operate on a regular schedule.

Student lunches were prepared by a nearby school and transported to Collettsville.

The utility company expects to restore full power to Collettsville School by early afternoon.
