LENOIR, NC (September 28, 2017)…Join Lenoir-based artist Mary Dobbin as she leads a 3-session plein air painting workshop as part of Caldwell Arts Council’s fall programming. Students will learn her techniques of painting outdoors as they explore settings as varied as Downtown Lenoir and Happy Valley. The program is open to all adults for a fee of $100 for the entire workshop. Students will be sent a suggested supply list from the instructor and are responsible for bringing their own supplies.
Mary studied at the Pratt Institute in New York City and has taught in New York and North Carolina. She currently teaches painting at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute.
Plein air workshops will be offered 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. on the following Tuesdays: October 10, October 17 & October 24.
