CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (October 26, 2017)…Caldwell County officials release storm damage update.
National Weather Service Determines EF2 Tornado hit Catawba and then Caldwell, Alexander and Burke Counties. See link

As of this morning, 599 Homes currently identified as damaged (light to substantial damage). That number will rise later today.
46 homes major damaged
5 homes destroyed
Two Assessment Teams are back out surveying damage today. It is estimated that teams have covered half of the damaged area so far.
Granite Falls – Red Cross assessment team are in the area.
One Serous injury reported
