GRANITE FALLS, NC (February 27, 2017)…Tisha Munday, age 80, of Granite Falls passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 at Caldwell Hospice, Hudson. She was born on July 2, 1936, daughter of the late John and Tisha Isabell Caldwell Fowler.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Boyd Munday; two brothers, Paul Dean Fowler and Junior Fowler; two half-brothers, Kenneth Gowan and Berder Gowan; three sisters, Bertha Mae Fowler, Vera Hollar and Zelpha Bolling.
Mrs. Munday is survived by three brothers, Arthur Fowler and wife Blanche, James Fowler and wife Judy, Roy Fowler and wife Imogene all of Hot Springs, NC; two sisters, Isabell Watts of Asheville, NC and Faye Gunter and husband Fred of Marshall, NC; a brother in law who was more like a son, David Bolick; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Home. The service will follow in the chapel at 1:00 PM with Rev. Don Ingle and Rev. Gordon West officiating. Pallbearers will be Rex Jones, Christopher Keever, Ashley Bumgarner, Joseph Adams, David Bolick and Joshua Lowe. Burial will be at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
