GRANITE FALLS, NC (January 5, 2017)…Lillian Miller Martin, age 83, of Sawmills passed away January 3, 2017. She was born on Sept. 1, 1933 in Caldwell County, NC. Lillian was the daughter of the late William Fate Miller and Bessie Drum Miller. Mrs. Martin was a retired inspector with Sherrill Furniture Co.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her husband Ray Pink Martin and four sisters; Lucille Dale, Ailene Stevens, Mary Sue Wilson and Betty Edgison also four brothers; Ray Miller, Arvin Miller, Alvin Miller and McCoy Miller.
Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter Diane Blanton and husband Tom of Granite Falls, her son Rickie Martin and wife Martha of Hudson; Granddaughters, Kim Keller and husband Dewey of Rhodhiss, Christina Price and husband Virgil of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Michelle Martin of Granite Falls also a grandson, Kevin Martin and wife Amanda of Graham, NC. Three great grandchildren also survive; Brittney Keller, Bradley Keller and Emilie Goble as well as two step grandchildren, Christopher and Karen Blanton and six step great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 11:00-12:00 PM followed by the Service at 12:00 with the Rev. Larry Miller Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
