Obituary for Gerry Henry Reid of Wilkesboro

GRANITE FALLS, NC (December 21, 2016)…Gerry Henry Reid, age 72, of Wilkesboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior December 20, 2016, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. He was born August 3, 1944, son of the late Ralph and Edith Pennell Reid.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Annas Reid of the home; one daughter, Angela Lynn Beard and husband Daniel of Sherrills Ford; one brother, Jerry R. Reid and wife Pat of Morristown, TN; one sister, Phyllis Woods and husband Don of Bozeman, Montana; two grandchildren, Zachary and Amanda Beard.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 23, 2016, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Wayne White officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
