Obituary for Candice Deaton Hawkins of Granite Falls

GRANITE FALLS, NC (March 2, 2017)…Candice Hawkins, age 44, of Granite Falls passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Carolina Medical Center. She was the daughter of Patricia Killian Deaton and the late Jimmy Deaton.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Mitchell Hawkins of the home; one daughter Brooke Morales and husband Juan of Granite Falls; one son Cias Hawkins of Granite Falls; two sisters, Lisa Koperski and Jamie Smalling both of Maiden; one granddaughter, Mariabella Charlotte and one grandson, Elias Morales.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 4, 2017, from 5:00 to 6:00 PM at Mackie Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Jim Lee officiating. Burial will be private.
