Notice of GFHA annual meeting and new member recruitment campaign

GRANITE FALLS, NC (September 30, 2017)…The Granite Falls Historical Association, Inc will hold its Annual Meeting and New Member Recruitment Campaign on Monday, October 23, 2017 at Philadelphia Lutheran Church on the corner of North Highland Avenue and Pinewood Road in Granite Falls.   The event will begin with registration and light refreshments at 7 p. m. followed by a business session and a historical program.  Current and prospective members are invited to attend.  Dues for the 2017 – 2018 year are $12.00 for individuals, $18.00 for families, and $25.00 for organizations. 

The purpose of the organization is to preserve and interpret the history/heritage of Granite Falls and Southern Caldwell County by historical preservation, publications, active museum and historic site programs, public meetings, and various activities related to these programs.  GFHA also supports and enhances the work of the Granite Falls History Committee which oversees the Granite Falls History and Transportation Museum.  For more information, check out www.granitefallshistorymuseum.org or email gfhistoricalassociation@gmail.com.  You may also call (828) 396-1066.
