North Carolina Sheriff’s Association honors Sheriff Alan jones with service award

SUNSET BEACH, NC (July 25, 2017)…Sheriff Alan Jones received a service award for significant contributions and ten years of dedication and service as Sheriff to the State of North Carolina and the citizens of Caldwell County. The award was given at the 95th annual Training Conference held at the Sea Trail Convention Center in Sunset Beach, North Carolina.

The Association’s newly-installed president, Sheriff Carson Smith, of Pender County, in describing the award said “Sheriffs play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the citizens of North Carolina, and it is a great privilege to honor those who have served for ten or more consecutive years as Sheriff in their communities.”

This is the sixth year the ten-year service award has been presented to North Carolina Sheriffs’ Association members, and it is a symbol of the organization’s commitment to serving the sheriffs of North Carolina. Sheriff Alan Jones said “It is an honor to receive this award and to continue to serve the great citizens of Caldwell County.”
