HICKORY, NC (April 1, 2019) — Newcomers of Catawba Valley will get tips on how to tap into the many electronic resources of libraries at its April 10 meeting.
Linda Campbell, reference librarian at Patrick Beaver Memorial Library, will speak at 10:30 a.m. about how to download ebooks, magazines, movies and audiobooks. She also will talk about the N.C. Digital Library, NCLive, Hoopla and genealogy online research.
The information will be helpful to all library users, not just those in the city of Hickory.
The meeting is open to the public and is held at the Hickory Regional Airport’s former terminal building, 3101 9th Ave. Dr. NW, Hickory.
Newcomers is a social organization that serves new and long-time residents of Catawba, Caldwell, Alexander and Burke counties. For information, go to www.newcomersofcv.com.
