HICKORY, NC (February 1, 2019 ) — Scott Millar, president of the Catawba County Economic Development Corporation, will talk about challenges and successes in bringing in jobs.
One of the biggest recent success is the start of the Trivium Corporate Center, a business park financed by Catawba County, the city of Hickory and Millar’s nonprofit group. The 270-acre business park has announced its first two tenants – Corning’s cable manufacturing plant and a German firm, ITM, which will make radiopharmaceuticals for treatment of cancer.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Hickory Regional Airport, 3101 9th Ave. Dr. NW, Hickory.
