NCSECU awards scholarships to CCC&TI Truck Driver Training Program students
HUDSON, NC (March 10, 2017)…The North Carolina State Employees Credit Union has awarded $750 Continuing Education Scholarships to Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute Truck Driver Training students (from left to right) Benjamin Davis of Lenoir, Rex Shuping of Morganton, Jack Hackney of Ronda and Cynthia Jordan of Connelly Springs. CCC&TI Vice President of Continuing Education and Workforce Development and NCSECU Advisory Board Member Elaine Lockhart (center) presented the scholarship during the Electrical Lineman completion ceremony on March 9. The SECU Foundation Scholarship was established in 2012 and focuses on assisting unemployed and underemployed adults, military veterans and members of the National Guard attain marketable job skills for future employment. CCC&TI’s Basic Law Enforcement Training, Electrical Lineman and Truck Driver Training programs are eligible for the scholarship.
