LENOIR, NC (October 13, 2018) — Please join us at Caldwell Heritage Museum at this great opportunity!!!
The North Carolina Society Daughters of the American Revolution has identified Lenoir as the place to possibly organize a new DAR chapter. They are interested because there is not a chapter in close proximity, the closest located about twenty miles away in Hickory. The Regents of DAR chapters surrounding Caldwell County enthusiastically support the formation of a Lenoir Chapter.
Lenoir and Caldwell County has a rich history, including Revolutionary War history. Historic preservation is an important part of the DAR mission and a chapter complement the Museum and other community organizations.
DAR can form a chapter once there are twelve members, ten being new members from Lenoir and Caldwell County. DAR members of nearby chapters who live in Lenoir may choose to transfer their membership. DAR has resources to help prospective members with their applications and help newly formed chapters grow and thrive.
