NC Community Foundation accepting applications for statewide scholarship funds
RALEIGH, NC (March 13, 2018)…The North Carolina Community Foundation is accepting applications for statewide scholarship funds, according to Leslie Ann Jackson, NCCF director of grants and scholarships.
Scholarship funds currently accepting applications include:
· The Cody Blue Pilkington Scholarship Fund for students who are entering their first- or second-year studying engineering, science or math at North Carolina State University.
· The JADE Learning Electrical Technologies Scholarship for students enrolled at North Carolina technical or occupational schools pursuing education and training in the field of electrical systems technologies, or apprentices enrolled in an approved apprenticeship program.
· The Joyce Price Johnson’s Samaritan Fund for young people exiting foster care or living in poverty in North Carolina who wish to continue their education at a college, university, community college, or other accredited institution.
NCCF administers more than 120 scholarships for students throughout the state. Eligibility criteria and deadlines are specific and vary widely by scholarship and location. Jackson said that these scholarships provide a good opportunity for North Carolina students to further their educations. “Our aim is to raise awareness throughout the state about opportunities offered through scholarships held with the North Carolina Community Foundation,” she said. “We’re honored to steward these scholarships on behalf of our fundholders who are investing in the futures of these North Carolinians.”
