National Weather Service says tornadic activity in Caldwell County

CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (October 25, 2017)…National Weather Service representatives surveying storm damage in Caldwell County says a preliminary assessment indicates there was tornadic activity around the lake and in the Grace Chapel Road area surrounded by straight line winds on Monday evening.

The NWS representatives were still surveying the damage this evening and also plan to study radar and other indicators to make a final determination.  They expect to have a final determination in the next few days.
