National Purple Heart Day

HUDSON, NC (July 29, 2018) — Honor our veterans who earned the Purple Heart by observing Purple Heart Day, Tuesday August 7th.  Give thanks to Caldwell County Veterans Honor Guard, American Legion Post 392, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5381 which all call Hudson, North Carolina home.  Visit the Hudson Purple Heart Community and view the banner proclaiming Hudson with this honor.  The banner is on display at City Hall.  See the signs along the roadside entering Hudson honoring the Purple Heart community and view the floral garden in the shape of the Purple Heart at Refuge Missionary Baptist Church on Mt. Herman Road in Hudson.  These are visual reminders of the love and sacrifice these individuals have given the area and our nation.
