FLETCHER, NC (August 2, 2018) — The 2018 N.C. Mountain State Fair kicks off Sept. 7, but fairgoers can save money by purchasing advance tickets at area Ingles stores starting Aug. 8.
“The N.C. Mountain State Fair is already one of the best entertainment values around, but fair lovers can save even more by buying their tickets in advance,” fair manager Matt Buchanan said. “Our partnership with Ingles makes it even easier because you can buy your tickets when you purchase your weekly groceries.”
Advance tickets will be available at almost 90 Ingles stores in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. Fairgoers can purchase their tickets at checkout during normal business hours at any of the participating Ingles locations.
Tickets also can be purchased at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher and WNC Farmers Market in Asheville from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Those wishing to buy tickets in advance have until Sept. 6 at 11:59 p.m. After that, tickets can be purchased at the gate.
Advance tickets are $7 for adults, a savings of $2 a ticket. Children, ages 6-12, and seniors, ages 65 and up, can get advance tickets for $3, compared to $5 at the gate. Admission to the fair is free for children ages 5 and under. Thrill seekers can purchase a sheet of 21 ride tickets for $12 in advance, a savings of $8.
The 25th N.C. Mountain State Fair runs Sept. 7-16 at the WNC Agricultural Center in Fletcher. The fair’s silver anniversary will celebrate the people, agriculture, art and traditions of Western North Carolina. More information is available at www.mountainfair.org.
