Multi-Dove and Grammy winner David Phelps in concert at Ashe County

HIGH COUNTRY, NC (March 3, 2017)…Fans may know David Phelps for his Multi-Dove and Grammy award-winning tenor vocal talents; as the lead singer with the Gaither Vocal Band; featured in Gaither Homecoming concerts or his solo recording projects. Originally from Tomball, Texas near Houston; David is a world renowned tenor and multi-platinum selling artist who has performed at The White House, Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, London 02 Arena and many other venues.

Hosted by Midway Baptist Church of West Jefferson, NC, this award-winning Christian artist will appear in concert as a part of the “Freedom Tour” at the Ashe County High School Auditorium April 1st 2017 at 7:00 PM.

In a statement, Ashe Baptist Association Director of Missions, Reverend David Blackburn said “the Ashe Baptist Association recommends the upcoming concert by David Phelps. He is one of the greatest singers of our time and we are fortunate to have him in the county.”

There is an opportunity for local churches to volunteer and for local choir members to sing as backup singers for a couple of songs during the concert.
