Agents from the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, conducting a separate but related investigation, also seized approximately 30 ounces of crystal methamphetamine tied to Bumgarner and $8,300 cash. The total amount of methamphetamine seized has a street value of $256,800 according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines. Bumgarner was incarcerated in the Caldwell Detention Center under a $150,000 secured bond and has an initial appearance in District Court in Lenoir on March 27, 2019.
