Lenoir Police Department recovers stolen firearms, vehicle and more

LENOIR, NC (January 19, 2018)…On Tuesday January 16th, 2018 while working leads on several Breaking and Entering cases that had occurred in the nearby area several Patrol Officers observed what they believed to be stolen firearms inside of a camper trailer located at 1536 Blowing Rock Blvd Lenoir.  The camper trailer and individuals at this location were detained and secured until a valid search warrant for this residence was obtained by Investigators with this agency.

Investigators recovered 10 stolen firearms, a Lexus, and several other items of stolen property from the search warrant.  Currently this investigation links the suspects to 20 cases ranging from Auto Larceny’s, Breaking & Entering’s, Larceny’s, and Burglary.  Some of these cases go back as far as October 2017.

Investigators with this agency are working with Investigators with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office as the majority of the cases are from the Lower Creek and Cedar Rock communities.  This investigation is still ongoing and future charges are expected.

Matthew Greene

At this time Willie Ferguson has been charged with Felony Auto Larceny.  Ferguson had a District Court date in Lenoir of 01/17/2018 and given a $15,000 secure bond and placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center.  Matthew Greene has been charged with Felony First Degree Burglary, Felony Larceny of a Firearm, and Felony Larceny after Breaking & Entering.  Greene has a District court date in Lenoir of 1/22/2018 and was given a $100,000 secure bond and placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center.
