Lenoir Police Department makes four drug related arrests
LENOIR, NC (July 3, 2019) — On July 3rd, 2019 at approximately 12:04 am Lenoir Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, with the assistance of the Lenoir Police Department’s Traffic Unit stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Virginia Street and Bradford Street. The vehicle, which was a silver color 2005 Honda Acura, was stopped for being left of center and not having all the proper mirrors. The driver of the vehicle was Chase Webb. While the traffic stop was being conducted a Lenoir Police Department K-9 Unit was used to conduct a “sniff” of the vehicle. According to the K-9 handler, the dog indicated that there was an odor of drugs emanating from the vehicle.
The vehicle was searched. Officers located a total of 3.1 grams of Marijuana and 2.7 grams of Methamphetamine in various places inside the vehicle and in the occupant’s clothing. Michael Reese was arrested and charged with 1 count of felony Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance and 1 count of felony Possession of Methamphetamine. Casey Reese was arrested and charged with 1 count of felony Possession of Methamphetamine. Tiffany Townsend was arrested and charged with 1 count of felony Possession of Methamphetamine, 1 count of felony maintaining a Vehicle for the Purpose of Controlled Substance, and 1 count of misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Chase Webb was arrested and charged with 1 count of felony Possession of Methamphetamine. Webb was also cited for Mirror Violation and Failure to Carry a Valid Driver License. All four subjects received a $25,000.00 secured bond and an initial court date of 07/03/2019. According to North Carolina State guidelines, the seized drugs were valued at $429.80
