Lenoir Police Department makes another drug arrest this week with assistance from community
LENOIR, NC (October 19, 2017)…On Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 at 9:30 am officers from the Lenoir Police Department’s Narcotics Unit along with officers from the Lenoir Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division served a search warrant on the residence of 1103 Pennton Ave. Lenoir, NC 28645. During the search of the residence, detectives located 151.1 grams of methamphetamine, 35.3 grams of marijuana, 1.7 grams of mushrooms, and 17 Xanax pills. According to North Carolina State Guidelines, the seized drugs were valued at $22,945.00. During the search of the residence investigators also found and seized three pistols and an AK-47 assault rifle. One of the seized pistols was discovered to be stolen from Bedford County Virginia.
Brad William Clark was arrested and charged with 1 count of Trafficking Methamphetamine, 1 count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Schedule I Controlled Substance, 1 count of Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance, 1 count of Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substance, 1 count of Manufacture Schedule I Controlled Substance, 1 count of Manufacture Marijuana, and 1 count of Possession of a Stolen Firearm. At the conclusion of this investigation Clark received a $350,000.00 secured bond and an initial court date of 10-19-2017. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
This investigation was initiated when Brad Clark was identified to the Narcotics Unit as someone in the community selling drugs. Chief Brown stated, “This is yet another example of how effective community partnerships can be. These cases don’t always move as quickly as we’d like, but timely, detailed information eventually leads to positive results for the good guys.”
