Joint operation leads to multiple meth arrests

LENOIR, NC (May 10, 2018)…Sheriff Alan C. Jones has announced on May 9, 2018, Narcotic Agents jointly working from the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and the Lenoir Police Department executed a search warrant with the assistance of the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team at 834 Norwood Street in Lenoir, NC.  During the search of the location 13 grams of Methamphetamine, 5 grams of Opiates, $1,144.00 in Cash, and a stolen firearm were located inside of the residence.  At the conclusion of the search Agents arrested Rebecca Myers Watkins, age 51, and charged her with one count of Possession with intent to sell and deliver Schedule 2 Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substance.  She was placed in the Caldwell County Detention center under a $100,000.00 Secured bond.

Subsequent investigation by Agents with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office and Lenoir Police Department lead to a secondary arrest that occurred in a parking are at 2068 Hartland Road in Lenoir where Britton Nicole Metcalf, age 30, and Elizabeth Ann Litchfield, age 50, both of 4529 Rainhill Drive in Morganton, we taken in to custody.  A search of the older Model dark green Toyota Tundra operated by Metcalf and Litchfield located 116 grams of Methamphetamine as well as $1,780.00 cash.  Both Metcalf and Litchfield were charged with one count of Trafficking Methamphetamine.  Both were also placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under $25,000.00 secured bond.  The total drugs seized have a street value of $20,350 according to North Carolina State Drug Guidelines
