Granite Falls High School Alumni Reunion Held

GRANITE FALLS, NC (May 8, 2019) — Former Granite Falls High School students and teachers held their 6th Annual Dining with the Demons on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Caldwell County Fairgrounds.   The event featured a potluck lunch, Pledge to the American Flag, recognition of military veterans, an invocation, a drawing for door prizes, and a live Facebook stream for persons who could not attend.  Participants also brought 800 pounds of non-perishable food and $300 in cash to be distributed to Pay It Forward Pantry and South Caldwell Christian Ministries.  In addition, GFHS Blue Demons donated 40 pounds of hygiene products to SCCM.

The reunion was financed by donations, on site sales of raffle tickets, and online sales of DWTD logo apparel purchased prior to the event.    Persons who missed the sale of apparel will be able to purchase t-shirts and sweatshirts online through midnight May 28, 2019 by going to https://gfhsalumni.itemorder.com.  Additional sales will benefit the 7th DWTD scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2020.
