Granite Falls Fire Department to conduct live burn exercise

GRANITE FALLS, NC (March 7, 2019) — On Saturday, March 9th, the Granite Falls Fire Department will be conducting a live burn training exercise at a house located at 1 Park Avenue beside of Granite Falls Middle School.

Traffic closures are expected on the following roads from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.: School Drive, North Main Parallel in front of the middle school, and Park Avenue from Main Street to Elgin Street. No other traffic interruptions are expected.

Town residents should not be alarmed to see a column of smoke from this area during this time.
