Global 6K for Water set
HUDSON, NC (April 3, 2017)…6 kilometers is the average distance that people in the developing world walk for water — water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. Every day, nearly 1,000 children die from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices—more than from AIDS and malaria combined.
On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, people from around the globe will walk or run this average distance for an extraordinary cause. Join us and advocates across the globe in our mission to bring clean water and fullness of life to children in communities around the world.
