GRANITE FALLS, NC (June 19, 2018)…Foothills Community Workshop at 141 N. Main St. Granite Falls, will be participating in the Amateur (Ham) Radio Field Day, Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24 from 2pm on Saturday through 2pm on Sunday at Redwood Park in Hudson. During this time, Hams will try to contact other stations in North America. Though originally set up as a contest to test emergency equipment, it is also an opportunity for anyone interested in Ham Radio to “get their feet wet” and operate under supervision from a licensed operator.
