LENOIR,NC (September 18, 2018) — A tree that has fallen on cable and phone lines on Hospital Avenue in Lenoir has knocked out telephone and Internet services at the Main Branch of the Caldwell County Library and the Caldwell County Water Department.
Crews are on the scene for repairs but, due to the nature of the damage, it could be several days before phone and Internet systems are restored.
Those who typically pay their water bills online can come to the Caldwell County Alden E. Starnes County Plaza building in Lenoir and pay their bills in person at the Tax Department payment windows on the street level floor. Water Bills cannot be paid in person at the Water Department.
The Caldwell County Library Main Branch is open to customers at their regular hours of operation. There just won’t be phone or Internet service. Patrons wanting to use the Internet at the Library may go to the library branches in Granite Falls or Hudson. Both of the branches have full service and are not affected by the outage.
A notice will be sent out when all services has been restored.
