Fairvalue to close store in Hudson

HUDSON, NC (December 10, 2018) — Press Release below from Fairvalue…

It is with our deepest regret we announce the closure of our Hudson location effective January 1, 2019.

We were unable to secure a long-term lease agreement that we felt was suitable for our staff and customers with our current landlord’s agent. This negotiation has been ongoing since August with little to no resolve with some of the requirements we needed to operate as a grocery store. Our demands we felt were simple and to the point, all to ensure our customer had a positive and safe experience while shopping in our stores.

We are happy to announce that all Hudson employees have been offered positions at our other two locations by request of the employee or geographical preference of the employee. Our other locations in Granite Falls and Lenoir will be strengthened by these acquisitions and look forward to serving our former Hudson customers at one of these locations. We are also excited for the other two locations as they will be seeing some upgrades interiorly this upcoming year in 2019.

We would like to thank the Town of Hudson for their involvement, commitment, and help through the years; it was truly a pleasure to serve you and we will miss you! To our customers, we apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will find a new home at our Lenoir or Granite Falls locations.

Thank you for your business,

Shawn Yambor
