Extension Master GardenerSM Volunteers show off the first harvest

LENOIR, NC (May 7, 2019) — Extension Master GardenerSM Volunteers show off the first harvest of the season from the Unity Park Community Garden. A total of 11 lb 9 oz of lettuce, kale, and spinach was harvested. This was donated to Yokefellow and the Lenoir Soup Kitchen. Master Gardener Volunteers partner with the City of Lenoir to manage the production beds to grow produce and for hands-on workshops.
