CALDWELL COUNTY, NC (January 27, 2018)…The Caldwell County Electrical Contractors Association has elected officers for the coming year. President Jerry Kirby, Vice President Mike Rector, Treasurer Fred McCurry and Secretary Charles Smith.
The Electrical Contractors Association is a non-profit group which works for the advancement of the electrical trades in the construction field.
Caldwell County has approximately 130 licensed electricians.
The association sponsors an annual seminar on the revisions of the National Electrical Code to inform contractors of new code requirements. It also works with other building trades and city and county inspection departments to educate contractors and ensure safety in the electrical field.
Food and materials for this year’s seminar were donated by Western Carolina Electrical Supply of Lenoir on HWY 18 in Lenoir and prize drawings by City Electric on Norwood Street in Lenoir.
The Caldwell County Electrical Contractors Association was established on May 29, 1992 as a non-profit and non-political entity.
